Who we are
Cheat Mode Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We run AI training workshops for the construction industry. When this policy refers to "we", "us", or "our", it means Cheat Mode Ltd. You can contact us at hello@usecheatmode.com.
What data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identity and contact data: your name, email address, job title, and company name, provided when you register, book a workshop, or submit an enquiry.
- Account data: your email address and role, stored when you create an account to access your bookings.
- Transaction data: details of workshops you have booked and payments you have made.
- Communication data: any messages you send us via the enquiry form or by email.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to receive updates from us.
- Usage data: anonymised analytics data about how visitors use our website. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- Process your workshop booking and send you confirmation and joining information.
- Manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- Respond to your enquiries.
- Send you emails about upcoming workshops and AI in construction, where you have opted in or where we have a legitimate interest based on a prior relationship.
- Improve our website and workshop content using anonymised analytics.
- Meet our legal and contractual obligations.
Our legal basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to process bookings and provide workshops you have registered for.
- Legitimate interests: to send relevant communications to people who have previously engaged with us, and to improve our services.
- Consent: to send marketing emails where you have explicitly opted in.
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law, including tax and accounting requirements.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:
- Neon: our database provider, used to store account and booking data.
- Clerk: our authentication provider, used to manage sign-in for the team.
- Stripe: our payment processor. Stripe handles card data directly and is PCI-DSS compliant. We do not store card details.
- Loops: our email platform, used to send booking confirmations, reminders, and opted-in marketing.
- Professional advisers such as accountants or solicitors, where legally required.
All third-party processors are required to protect your data in accordance with UK GDPR.
How long we keep data
- Account and booking data: 7 years from the date of the booking (HMRC requirement).
- Enquiry data: 2 years from the date of the enquiry, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations.
- Restrict or object to how we process your data.
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage, access controls, and using reputable third-party processors. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
